The annual Queensland Premier’s Sustainability Awards was held on  Thursday 17th November 2016, at the Brisbane Convention Centre. The Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) Waste Services Division won the ‘Community Awards’ category with the assistance and dedication of the EnviroCom Australia team.

MBRC’s submission exemplified the wonderful work of Council in building partnerships with the community through education campaigns and community activation programs that affect and change waste-related behaviours, embed and sustain improved resource management practices and create a culture of resource stewardship and sustainability across the region. Through its contractual work with the Moreton Bay Regional Council, EnviroCom has been instrumental in the development, coordination and implementation of many of these initiatives for the past 6 years.

On Thursday night these great achievements were recognised by the State, with Moreton Bay Regional Council announced as the winner of the ‘Community Awards’ category. Congratulations to both MBRC Waste Services Division and EnviroCom Australia.
