Staff from Roma’s J.J. Richards and Sons clock up thousands of kilometres for their work, driving huge trips throughout the region, yet still hold an impressive safety record.
The company has received a prestigious commendation from Santos as part of their Directors’ Environment, Health and Safety Awards.
Matt Hogan from JJ’s said everyone was extremely proud of the achievement. “We work very hard at health and safety and work safely,” Mr Hogan said. “It was great recognition”.
He said excellent results in workplace health and safety come from daily practice.
“When we have a full crew we do a weekly tool box talk and we have truck inspections every morning,” he said.
“We like to be seen as the best and most compliant company out there”.
